There has been an increase in fly tipping in Selly Park South. Bin bags of domestic waste are being left on the pavements every day of the week and not just on Tuesday evenings. They are attracting rats and foxes which are damaging the bags and causing the contents to litter the streets.
What can we do about it?
Try putting up a poster - they do sometimes help. Make your own or we can supply one (we are currently trialling designs)
Report it to BCC and it will be taken away report here Theoretically they can prosecute offenders but this rarely seems to happen
Report it to us. If we know where persistent problems exist we can target leafleting and knocking on doors. We can also highlight to them to BCC's waste management team.
Please let us know if you have any suggestions.
